Firearms Transfers

We are pleased that you have selected Tincup Firearms to handle your transfer. Please note that we do not handle NFA transfers (silencers, short barreled rifles, etc.). Please review the following steps:

FFL License and Documentation from the Seller

Once the customer has purchased a firearm, Tincup Firearms will need an email address to send a copy of our FFL to the seller for shipment. The seller must also provide a copy of their FFL or government photo ID, and customer contact information with the firearm shipment.

Receiving

Tincup Firearms will receive the firearm and log it into our Acquisition and Disposition Book (A&D). The customer may have tracking information; however, the firearm may be in the logging process. Tincup Firearms will contact the customer when the firearm is ready for pickup.

Transfer Fee

Tincup Firearms charges a $35.00 transfer fee per firearm.

ATF Form 4473 and NICS Background Check

The customer will fill out their portion of ATF Form 4473, and provide a current, government issued, photo ID. Tincup Firearms will run the NICS Background Check. Once approved, the transfer is complete. If the Background Check is a DENIAL, Tincup Firearms will keep the transfer fee, and the customer will pay to ship the firearm back to the seller.

Mount & Bore Sight Scopes

Scope Mount

$30.00

Tincup Firearms will mount and bore sight scopes for $30.00. If the rifle or scope is purchased from us, we will discount 50%. If all components are purchased from us, we will mount and bore sight the scope free of charge.

Bore Sight Only

$10.00

Bore sighting will get you on paper at 100 yards.
